Tildren (tiludronic acid) is a bisphosphonate used to treat bone-related issues in horses.  In our practice it is most commonly administered as a regional perfusion or systemically as an intravenous injection.

Tildren is distributed in two vials, with the blue top containing the drug in powder form and the green top containing the diluent.  The diluent is drawn up (approximately 10ml) and injected into the powder-filled vial.  The resultant mixture is drawn into a syringe for injection.

Dr. Martinelli was recently invited to give a poster about Tildren at the 2014 Conference of The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) in Las Vegas June 2014.
